Responsibilities

• Leading and designing the production of 3 week online format, and in-person finals event.

• Operating a broadcast package, using vMix and supporting software

On behalf of Brandon Smith, I took on the challenge of managing the production of Wicked Wednesdays; a grassroots EA FC tournament featuring up & coming competing against professional players. We held 3 weeks of online qualifiers followed by an in-person finals event in London. It was my responsibility to manage a budget and all aspects of the tournament such as hiring crew, travel/accommodation arrangements, broadcast elements etc.

I also directed the online & in-person broadcasts, which featured a custom-designed graphics package, live player interviews, and a Soccer Saturay/NFL Redzone-esque viewer experience with multiple tournament matches to alternate between for live reaction.

I’m really thankful for this opportunity as it opened my eyes to all the different elements needed to execute a successful event, which at times were challenging but felt I embraced well and as a result delivered a great product alongside all the fantastic, passionate people involved behind-the-scenes.
